Using the App

Simply enter your bill amount using the number pad, then select a tip percentage from the preset buttons (10%, 15%, 18%, 20%) or use the slider for a custom amount. The tip and total will update automatically in real-time.

Use the Split section below the tip percentages. Tap the + or - buttons to adjust the number of people. The per-person amount will be calculated and displayed automatically.

The tipping guide is a comprehensive reference covering 17+ service categories with culturally appropriate tipping recommendations. It helps you know how much to tip in various situations like restaurants, taxis, hotels, salons, and more.

Premium Features

Premium includes: ad-free experience, unlimited tip history with locations, iCloud and cross-device sync, multiple currency support, custom accent colors and themes, and map view for your tip history.

On iOS: Go to Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions > TipCalculate > Cancel Subscription.

On Android: Open Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > TipCalculate > Cancel.

You'll continue to have access until the end of your billing period.

Refunds are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). You can request a refund through their respective platforms within their refund policy timeframes. We recommend contacting us first if you're experiencing issues.

On iOS: Open TipCalculate, go to Settings, and tap "Restore Purchases". Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used to purchase.

On Android: Open TipCalculate, go to Settings, and tap "Restore Purchases". Ensure you're signed into the same Google account.

Sync & Data

Premium users can sync their tip history across devices. On Apple devices, we use iCloud (CloudKit) which syncs automatically when you're signed into the same Apple ID. For cross-platform sync (iOS to Android), we use Firebase which requires signing in with Google.

You can delete individual tip history entries by swiping left on them in the History tab. To delete all data, go to Settings > Delete All Data. If you've enabled cloud sync, this will also remove data from the cloud.

Yes! Your data is stored locally on your device by default. Cloud sync uses secure, encrypted connections through Apple's iCloud or Google's Firebase infrastructure. We never sell your data to third parties.

Account

You can delete your account and all associated data by visiting our Account Deletion page. Sign in with your account credentials and click "Permanently Delete My Account". This action is immediate and cannot be undone.

When you delete your account, we permanently remove: your profile information (name, email, photo), all tip history records, saved preferences and settings, and any uploaded profile photos. This data cannot be recovered after deletion.

No. Subscriptions are managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store), not by us. You must cancel your subscription separately before deleting your account to avoid future charges. Go to your device's subscription settings to cancel.

No. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, all data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered. You can create a new account, but your previous data will not be restored.
